Emily Hansen Cox

The Story

A curious maker of art and music

Emily studied both art and piano pedagogy at UVU and Utah State University. She combined both majors by composing and illustrating a children’s song book. She uses her mental health challenges as tools to explore, create and express. She has explored many mediums. When people ask, ‘do you know how to…?’ She usually says ‘yes,’ or ‘no, but I bet I can figure it out.’ Emily has taught in many settings, elementary schools, art centers, university classes, church settings and more. She has been teaching piano lessons for over 25 years and enjoys learning how to make the experience better for each student.
